INTERESTS & APTITUDES ASSESSMENT
Through interviews, a “Do What You Are” assessment, and a You Science aptitude assessment, we help students focus their energy on strengths, values, and interests that help to develop these areas. Based on this feedback, we start to make a plan of appropriate courses & activities.
Students begin organizing their activities in a spreadsheet that uses the Common Application activities criteria. By Spring of sophomore year, students begin creating their individual resume that becomes a work in progress until submitted to colleges senior year.
TRANSCRIPT EVALUATION & STRATEGIC COURSE PLAN
The high school transcript is the key document college admissions reads, yet most students don't understand 1. what it is or 2. how it will be evaluated. Using the actual transcript, we show the student how they can make their transcript reflect their strengths!
Many students get tracked in math and science. Without fully understanding the prerequisites for future courses, students may not be able to take higher level classes. We develop the course plan that sequences over 4 years. We also look at specific ways to balance "rigor" with fun!
SUMMER PLAN
Summer is a great time to pursue interests, get a volunteer job, start a passion project, read books, or do some research. It's an ideal opportunity to develop an interest and create a resume item. We put together a summer plan that they can actually execute.

Students encounter many different types of interviews, both formal and informal. We provide tips about preparing for an Interview, whether informational or evaluative. We then practice the conversation. Asking people about their jobs and careers can help students understand better the paths they need to take to reach their goals. We determining the "who, what, where, when and how" to do to this.
